Manitowoc Cruise
Barbie and I along with our friend Suzi from Oklahoma City left this past Monday morning for a 3 day cruise aboard the Shangri-La to Manitowoc, WI. The morning started out nice then the fog rolled in as we were leaving the Sheboygan harbor. About an hour into our trip we ran into heavy rain and a small thunderstorm and then back into fog again. The skies cleared up after we arrived in Manitowoc though. After we docked up we had shore power electrical problems. After about 3 hours of troubleshooting the problem it turned out to be a marina problem and not a problem on the boat. Our first day there we acquainted ourselves with the marina and had pizza delivered to the boat for dinner. On Tuesday Suzi rented a car and we toured the Wisconsin Maritime Museum and the USS Cobia. On Wendsday we went to Phil Rohrer's Restaurant in Two Rivers and then toured Rogers Street Fishing Village and Coast Guard Museum. We left Manitowoc at 1:15PM heading back to Sheboygan with clear skies and breezy west winds arriving back to the Sheboygan harbor at 2:45PM.
